Charlie House has received significant funding from Kinetics Controls and Innovations Ltd towards the Big Build Appeal
Our long-term supporter, Kinetics Controls and Innovations Ltd (KCI), has donated a significant sum to the Big Build appeal, our ambitious project to create a specialist care facility for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in the North-east of Scotland.
The global provider of bespoke engineered leak solutions first donated to Charlie House in September 2020 and has continued to be a close-knit partner, passionate about helping us build a welcoming and supportive home away from home. Its generous contributions over the last two years have helped take our fundraising total to more than £4m.
As we continue our mission to reach our £8m target to commence the build, once completed, our purpose-built facility will enable children and their families to make precious memories together. The plans include state-of-the-art spaces including a sensory room, spa pool, craft room, soft play area and therapy room.
Alongside the donation, KCI has also supported us with materials to help deliver our merchandise and postal activities to families. Following this, we have awarded KCI Platinum Patron Status through our Big Build Patron programme, an initiative designed to recognise the incredible efforts and donations from our supporters.
Based in Aberdeen, KCI was founded in 2002 and takes a holistic approach to its projects, providing products and solutions that re-establish well integrity. Incorporating exceptional customer service and accountability through a highly skilled and experienced engineering team, its innovative technology supports complex problems which may be difficult to resolve with conventional methods.
KCI’s Managing Director, Kevin Watt said: “On behalf of everyone at KCI, I feel grateful to be in a position to support Charlie House with its efforts to help local families get support, respite and care when they need it.
“The charity’s commitment to building a specialist care facility for children right here in this region is an inspiration to all of us and we are proud to be part of the positive difference it will make.”
Jenna Simpson, Corporate Fundraising Coordinator at Charlie House said: “The support from KCI has been brilliant and the donations it has contributed are significant to our Big Build appeal.
“Children and families across the North-east need to be able to access a specialist care facility locally without having to travel far afield, but we can’t reach our goals without the support from corporate organisations.
“From everyone here at Charlie House, we can’t thank KCI enough for its support over these last few years and look forward to continuing to build on our relationship.”
Outwith the Big Build Appeal, our team works hard to provide activities and projects that enable families to gain confidence, engage socially, meet others in a similar situation and receive emotional and practical support when they need it most.
