We provide support for your whole family because finding out your child has a life-limiting condition can affect everyone
Charlie House recognises the importance of providing support to siblings of children with life-limiting conditions. We understand they can face many tough times at home, have worries around their brother or sister’s medical condition, face struggles at school, college or work and experience separation anxiety. We offer opportunities for siblings to talk about their thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential and supportive environment that works for them.
Our pre and post-bereavement support is available to families, including those that haven't accessed our services before. This support is available to help families prepare for the future, support them through their loss and is available for as long as they need it, even long after the loss of a child. The Charlie House team is here to support you throughout this incredibly challenging time.
We provide parents and carers with an opportunity to talk with trained staff in a safe, comfortable, and confidential setting. They may want to talk about changes in their child’s medical condition, concerns they have about how siblings are coping or even about things in their own lives. Whatever it is, we’re here to help.
If you are looking for support for your family for any of our services, you can contact us by completing a referral form. This can be done by yourself or with support from a health professional on your behalf.
