As a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee,
Charlie House is governed by a Board of Trustees
Our trustees are all dedicated individuals who freely volunteer their time, expertise and skills. They are responsible for helping us set our long-term strategy and ensuring that operations and governance comply with our charitable aims and regulatory requirements.
Tracy founded Charlie House in 2011 after giving birth to her premature twins, Louis and Eva. Sadly Eva passed away shortly after being born and it soon became apparent that Louis would need 24/7 care and life-limiting conditions. In 2022, she was awarded a RVS Platinum Champions Award for her dedication to volunteering her time to our charity, chairing the board and handling daily operations.
Karen is co-founder and director of award winning local company TMM Recruitment, established in 1997. Karen is passionate about supporting local charities and has raised thousands of pounds for them over the years by completing running, cycling and trekking challenges across the world. Karen has been a supporter of Charlie House for many years prior to being appointed to the Board in 2018.
During his career, Alan has held a number of key Health & Social Care service posts, formerly with Aberdeen City Council and latterly as General Manager for Combined Child Health Services with NHS Grampian, retiring in September 2012. Alan is also a Director of Archway and a member of Castlehill Housing Association Management Committee. Alan was appointed to the board in 2015.
Having graduated in medicine from Edinburgh University, Kerry trained as a GP in Dumfries before moving to Aberdeen in 1997.
She has been a partner in a city centre practice for over 20 years and with a special interest in child protection and the needs of more vulnerable children, is very aware of the benefits that support from Charlie House can make to individual children and their families. She also recognises the support provided to the stretched health visiting services in an inner city practice.

A retired Civil Engineer, Roddy spent many years at MTM Construction latterly as Construction Director. Roddy's years of experience in construction management will be invaluable to Charlie House as we move towards progressing the Big Build from dream to reality. Roddy was appointed to the Board in 2023.
Boasting immense knowledge across all areas of construction-based project management and having experienced a great number of build completions, Roddy’s skillset and determination will be integral in progressing the development of a physical Charlie House support centre.
Retired chartered accountant Sheena Anderson is a founding partner of Anderson Anderson & Brown (AAB) and is an expert in taxation, particularly for private client and business tax. With more than 35 years of experience in the field, Sheena’s background will be hugely influential for the charity’s financial strategy as the Big Build continues to work towards its £8m target.
Extremely passionate about the third sector and non-profit organisations, Sheena also has a vast array of experience that aligns with Charlie House’s ethos, having supported the Prince’s Trust, Aberdeen Performing Arts, Robert Gordon University and local Rotary Clubs as well as holding treasurer positions for fundraising events. Additionally, Sheena is also chair of the Anderson Anderson & Brown Charitable Initiative (AABIE).
