Activities Coordinator (Full-time)

Facing fears and flying through the air – can you help make what seems the impossible, possible for our families? We are looking for an adventurous Activities Coordinator to join our team of superheroes. It’s not every day you get to kayak, Nerf battle, abseil, create amazing arts & crafts and be part of messy play in your job…but it could be!

Do you want to be part of a driven team that gives children with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions, and their families, the opportunity to enjoy a large variety of experiences and activities? Do you love organisation and working with partnership associations? Working as part of the Services Team, this key role will see the planning, co-ordination, participation and delivery of activities suitable for babies, children and young people, and their families, with life-limiting conditions and multiple complex needs in the North-east of Scotland.

You will be responsible for organising, attending and delivering appropriate inclusive activities and engaging with local service suppliers to evaluate potential activities and venues. You will work closely with the Children and Family Support Manager, Volunteer and Information Coordinator, Fundraising Team and Community Team to deliver targets developed in line with the Strategic Plan.

Candidates must have at least two-years’ experience in a similar role, experience of working with children and young people with complex and multiple needs, GIRFEC training and must have a qualification in Child Care, Youth work or similar. You must also have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. You will be required to regularly work at weekends as well as occasional evening work - time in lieu is given in regard to this.
