Sensory Room

Within Charlie House will be a dedicated Sensory Room which will have its own magical environment that can be tailored to each child’s individual needs.

When the lights are turned off the room comes to life with colour changing bubble tubes, infinity lights, projectors and glow in the dark wall stickers.

There will also be a music system where relaxing music can be played or the family can connect their own music to play a favourite song that can create lasting memories. The room can also be used to tell sensory stories where an audio book can be played through the music system and there will be a sensory bag to go with each story so that children can fully immerse themselves in the storytelling experience.

The room will be kitted out with soft play seating areas including a heated water bed for that truly relaxing experience.

The best part of this room is that it is multi-functional.  It can be used by the entire family to make lasting memories, it can also be used for group activities but most importantly it acts as a safe, warm environment for children to have some much-needed time away from the medical equipment and intervention that has become a huge part of their lives.
